Batch Operations Support Specialist

Sierra, a division of XYZ Tech Inc. in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Early Morning Processor to support critical data and software operations. In this role, you will execute scheduled batch jobs, validate data imports, monitor system dashboards, and escalate issues to engineers as needed. You will prepare daily operational reports, ensure data accuracy, and follow standardized runbooks to maintain uptime for key applications. Responsibilities

• Run and monitor scheduled early-morning batch jobs and scripts
• Validate and reconcile imported data for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor system dashboards and alerts, escalating incidents as needed
• Follow operational runbooks and standard operating procedures
• Generate and distribute daily operational and performance reports
• Coordinate with IT, data, and support teams to resolve processing issues
• Document incidents, resolutions, and process improvements
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality policies

Required Skills

• Batch job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, cron)
• Basic SQL for data validation and queries
• Excel or similar tools for data reconciliation and reporting
• System and application monitoring tools
