Job Description

AF Operator SME

Remote

Parttime Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advisory and SME-level support for the client's existing IBM Tivoli AF/Operator environment.

Support day-to-day operational stability of AF/Operator automation (message/event-driven rules, REXX-based scripts, CLISTs) throughout the migration period.

Offer architectural guidance and recommendations on AF/Operator configuration and usage as-is, without directing or executing the target-platform migration itself.

Collaborate with the client's internal operations and system programming teams to troubleshoot AF/Operator issues as they arise.

Review and validate existing AF/Operator automation rules and scripts to support continued stability.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer related to the current AF/Operator environment as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli AF/Operator - architecture, configuration, and administration.

Deep understanding of REXX-based automation rules, message/event-driven automation, and console operations within AF/Operator.

Prior experience functioning in an Architect or SME advisory capacity for AF/Operator environments.

Strong communication skills

- able to work independently in a part-time, advisory engagement with minimal oversight.

Comfortable with a flexible, part-time (12 15 hrs/week) engagement model.
