Human Resources Generalist

Sterling Healthcare is seeking a people-focused and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Riverwalk Communities team. This position will support the community in Human Resources, serving as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, residents, and families.

What You'll Do
Human Resources
Manage day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure required employment documentation is completed. Partner with community leadership on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns. Coordinate employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions. Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and professional development initiatives.
Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Maintain knowledge of healthcare and long-term care employment regulations and provide guidance to leadership and employees as needed. Coordinate performance evaluations, probationary reviews, and other employment processes. Participate in community leadership and department meetings as appropriate. What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous HR Generalist or similar HR experience; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred. Working knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with community leadership. A professional, approachable, and service-focused attitude. Compassion and a genuine desire to support employees, residents, and families.
