The Role • Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks safely and efficiently. • Position and organize containers within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance. • Coordinate container moves by communicating with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. • Basic communication skills for effective teamwork. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
