Production Control Planner
Federal Pacific Transformer (FPT) provides low voltage and medium voltage transformers and electrical switchgear for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. In addition, FPT provides special design and manufacturing services for mining applications. All production, marketing, and manufacturing for FPT products is consolidated at the Bristol Virginia location. Sales of FPT products are handled by a variety of manufacturing representatives with both domestic and international locations. FPT provides high quality products at a competitive price. FPT operates in a highly competitive environment requiring the close management of costs at all levels of the organization.
This position has internal contact with the Area Manager on scheduling and production reporting issues. The incumbent also works closely with Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Purchasing and all manufacturing personnel. The position has external contacts when providing Traffic Administrator support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key End Results

• Input all Federal Pacific production reporting daily into Global Shop Solutions, Mafesa production reporting into MCBA
• Process shop orders and packets as required, and print drawings accordingly
• Provide backup as required to department personnel-Production Control, Shipping and Receiving
• Provide support for inventory activities
• Order inter-company parts as required.

Primary Accountability

• Input of all production reporting into Global Shop Solutions
• Process necessary shop orders, shop packets and drawings for dispatch to manufacturing
• Process necessary MRP requirements and enter shop orders as required
• Schedule kanban orders as required
• Provide backup to all department personnel as required
• Participate on special projects as assigned by the department manager
• Participate in cost savings projects as assigned
• Meet yearly objectives as defined on Yearly Goal Setting Objectives form

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School degree or GED
• Three to five years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Familiar with computers and manufacturing processes
• Other combinations of education and experience may be accepted, if deemed appropriate by the General Manager or designee.

Salary:

• $50,000/year
