Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Quality Analyst contractor to drive quality across software products within Optimum's Product Development organization. 
This engagement focuses on defining test plans and quality criteria, executing manual and automated testing, analyzing quality metrics, and partnering with engineering and product teams to improve product quality within defined product areas. 
Unlike a Software Quality Engineer, this role emphasizes test analysis, process, and quality assurance including test planning, defect analysis, and quality metric reporting — alongside test execution. 
The engagement supports quality for the Google CES Voice (Dialogflow CX) Strategic Engine migration, including functional, NLU/intent-matching, UAT/BUAT, and regression testing across billing/payments, appointments, and outage flows. 
This is an onshore engagement; Spanish fluency is required to support bilingual and Spanish-language call-flow and NLU testing.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and quality acceptance criteria
Execute manual and automated test cases across assigned products
Execute Spanish-language and bilingual test cases to validate call-flow behavior and NLU/intent matching
Analyze defect trends, root causes, and quality metrics; surface patterns to engineering
Maintain test artifacts and documentation in Confluence, Lucid (call-flow documentation), and Jira
Run user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles with product and business stakeholders
Validate releases meet quality and acceptance criteria before deployment
Partner with development teams during defect triage and resolution
Drive process improvements to test coverage, quality reporting, and release readiness
Contribute to test automation efforts in partnership with Software Quality Engineers
Provide recommendations and implement improvements to test practices, tools, and frameworks based on observed needs
Required Skills
5+ years' experience and bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance or testing
Strong understanding of test planning, defect tracking, and quality processes
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence / Lucid
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
Ability to independently deliver test planning and analysis without detailed direction
Professional Spanish language skills (required) for bilingual / Spanish-language call-flow and NLU quality validation
Preferred Experience
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript), including Dialogflow CX / conversational test automation
Experience testing conversational voice agents, Google Dialogflow CX / Google CES, and IVR/CCaaS migrations
ISTQB or comparable QA certification
Familiarity with AI Tools and AI First mindset
