Job Description

Role Summary

The Project Scheduler supports complex, mission-critical programs by providing project planning, scheduling, coordination, and performance monitoring. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules while providing leadership and stakeholders with visibility into project progress, risks, dependencies, and key milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling and project management tools, including task sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and resource planning.
  • Monitor project performance and schedule health to identify potential delays, variances, and emerging issues.
  • Analyze schedule impacts and collaborate with project teams to develop corrective actions and recovery strategies.
  • Identify and manage critical path activities, schedule risks, constraints, and interdependencies.
  • Coordinate across project teams to track deliverables, resolve scheduling issues, and support timely completion of action items.
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and high-level program schedules for stakeholder and leadership review.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and briefings regarding project progress, schedule risks, and upcoming milestones.
  • Facilitate scheduling and planning meetings with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate schedule changes, dependencies, and project status to stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project scheduling processes, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex project schedules.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, scheduling principles, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate schedule feasibility, resource constraints, dependencies, and project risks.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex scheduling information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to proactively identify and support resolution of potential scheduling issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance.

Publishing Pay Range: $52.00 - $57.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
