Beer Sales Representative - Beverage Distribution

TJ Sheehan Distributing is seeking a Beer Sales Trainee to support on- and off-premise sales across Central and Upstate New York. In this entry-level role, you'll learn the beer distribution business from the ground up-assisting sales reps with account visits, merchandising, product rotation, and promotional execution. You'll help build displays, stock shelves and coolers, and ensure accurate orders and deliveries. Working closely with experienced sales staff, you'll develop product knowledge, customer service, and sales skills in a fast-paced, family-owned, team-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales representatives with retail, bar, and restaurant account visits
• Merchandise shelves, coolers, and displays to brand standards
• Rotate stock to ensure product freshness and manage out-of-date product
• Support execution of sales promotions, tastings, and marketing programs
• Help track orders, deliveries, and basic inventory needs at accounts
• Build relationships with store managers and bar/restaurant staff
• Maintain clean, organized point-of-sale materials and display areas
• Learn brand portfolio, product features, and sales talking points
• Provide basic sales, service, and delivery feedback to the team
• Follow all company, safety, and compliance procedures on-site
