Job Location: Reston, VA (Must be Local Only or DMV), 3 days to work site.

Description:

AI Engineer / AI Agent Developer focused on building and deploying GenAI agents within the organization's AWS-based AI ecosystem.

The team is specifically looking for candidates with hands-on experience deploying agents on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon AgentCore, including understanding how AgentCore manages runtime, memory, policy engines, identity integration, and agent deployment architecture.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring candidates to design, build, deploy, and support AI-powered solutions rather than simply consume or configure AI tools.

Must Have Skills:

• Experience working with AI/GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q, or similar platforms to support AI-based use cases.
• Hands-on experience with embeddings, RAG patterns, vector databases, or similar technologies.
• Experience with AWS data services such as Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift.
• Experience building or supporting data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for cloud-based AI/data solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Understanding of IAM roles/policies, least privilege access, encryption, secrets management, API integrations, and secure cloud design patterns.
• Ability to develop Python scripts, REST APIs, serverless functions, and automation for AI/data workflows.
• Ability to work with architecture, security, data, and application teams to support POCs, document designs, and drive cloud/AI solution adoption.
