Information Systems Security Officer Level 1 with Security Clearance

SALARY REQUIREMENTS Candidates are invited to submit their salary expectations along with their application. The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is $132,700 to $171,150 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION MissionEdge Technologies is seeking an ISSO level one to Support information security .

Help create and enforce security policies and procedures, manage daily security operations, and maintain the system's security posture. Assesses security risks and solutions for critical information, manages security settings for software, hardware, and firmware, and reviews the security impact of system changes. Prepare and review required security documents, including SSPs, risk assessments, C&A packages, and SRTMs. Support system authorization under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and use Splunk to monitor security events, analyze logs, and support incident response.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Five (5) years experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Experience is to include at least one (1) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required.
• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards and methodologies .
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation .
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information .
• Assist with the CM for information system security software, hardware and firmware .
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades .
• Propose, coordinate, implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards and methodologies .
• Develop and maintain documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies .
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware and firmware .
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance .
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information .
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program .
• Provide support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program or enclave .
• Develop and update the system security plan and other IA documentation .
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system .
• Administer the user identification and authentication mechanism of the Information System (IS) .

Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.

Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation: Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
