MLD Teacher

MLD Teacher | Newbury, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are seeking dedicated SEND Teachers to join an impact-driven community that is committed to transforming the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly and creatively in a trauma-informed way, making a significant difference in the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners.

The Role

• Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tutoring in Maths, English, or Science for children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs, including MLD.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, referred by local authorities and schools.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions.
• Plan lessons, report on progress, and provide regular feedback to students.
• Work with learners with a range of needs including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for young people with SEND.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed).
• Must be based in the UK with the right to work.
