Financial Audit Product Owner / Business Analyst Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Audit Product Owner / Business Analyst to join a dynamic digital transformation team supporting enterprise audit, risk, and compliance initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, audit teams, and technology partners to drive process optimization, solution implementation, and operational excellence across financial and regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze client business processes to identify optimization opportunities and align solutions with industry best practices
  • Facilitate benchmarking studies and collaborate with stakeholders to improve operational performance and compliance standards
  • Work closely with technical teams to document system configurations, customizations, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct research and comparative analysis of third-party products, tools, and platforms within the financial audit and compliance domain
  • Support implementation and integration activities while helping resolve setup and operational issues
  • Assist in maintaining documentation, workflows, and process standards to ensure system stability and scalability
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business users, product owners, auditors, and technology teams
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within Financial Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Governance domains
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Audit methodologies
    • Financial reporting processes
    • Regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience using tools such as:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent analytical and process optimization capabilities
  • Ability to create detailed documentation, workflows, and process maps
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Experience with audit management systems or compliance platforms
  • Academic background in:
    • Finance
    • Accounting
    • Information Systems
    • Related disciplines
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution required
  • Relevant progressive experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
Additional Information
  • This role may require travel and/or relocation depending on project requirements
