Role Summary
Seeking an experienced database professional with 7-10+ years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms. The role focuses on database performance optimisation, query tuning, schema design, ETL development, database security, and administration across Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments. Experience with cloud database services and data integration platforms is required.
Key Responsibilities

• Debug and optimise highly complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.
• Refactor slow-running queries and improve overall database performance.
• Design, document, and maintain database schemas, tables, and data dictionaries.
• Develop, test, and maintain ETL processes and pipelines.
• Implement and support database security protocols and best practices.
• Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.
• Work with cloud database platforms including RDS and Aurora.
• Support data integration and movement using tools such as Fivetran.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of database engineering, database development, or database administration experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with stored procedures, views, triggers, and database functions.
• Experience designing and maintaining database schemas and data models.
• ETL development, testing, and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of database security, access controls, and governance practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with RDS, Aurora, Fivetran, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-database environments.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data integration ecosystems.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Broader data engineering and automation experience using Python.
