The Senior Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation leads the strategy, governance, and delivery of data, reporting, and analytics that power philanthropic growth. This role oversees the design and implementation of BI tools, data models, and dashboards that inform fundraising, alumni engagement, and campaign planning. The Senior Director partners with advancement, finance, and academic leaders to translate complex data into actionable insights, manages a high-performing analytics team, and advances data governance. This position supports a collaborative, mission-driven culture that strengthens scholarships, research, and student success.
Responsibilities
- Lead BI and analytics strategy to support fundraising, alumni engagement, and campaigns
- Oversee design and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports
- Establish and manage data governance, data quality, and reporting standards
- Partner with advancement, finance, and academic leaders to deliver actionable insights
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI and analytics team
- Translate complex data into clear recommendations for executive decision-making
- Align analytics roadmap with organizational strategic plan and campaign priorities
- Oversee selection, integration, and optimization of BI, CRM, and data tools
- Monitor key performance indicators and fundraising metrics to drive results
- Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, and inclusive analytics culture
