Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to support tooling and manufacturing operations by generating and certifying engineering analysis packages that demonstrate compliance with safety standards and customer requirements. This role requires expertise in structural analysis, tooling design, and manufacturing support within a complex engineering environment.

The successful candidate will perform structural evaluations, develop engineering solutions, and support the design and certification of tooling fixtures, assembly structures, lifting devices, composite tooling, drill fixtures, machine attachments, and other production support equipment used in aerospace and advanced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as FEMAP and NASTRAN. Develop engineering analysis reports and review technical documentation prepared by other engineers. Present structural analysis findings, recommendations, and technical solutions to stakeholders and engineering teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex engineering challenges. Evaluate engineering designs and products for compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and procedures.

Conduct static and dynamic analyses of tooling fixtures, work platforms, lifting devices, and support structures. Identify and mitigate safety risks while ensuring compliance with applicable industry and regulatory standards. Develop conceptual and detailed designs using 3D CAD tools, including NX and CATIA. Create fabrication drawings and engineering documentation in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards. Provide manufacturing and fabrication support by applying knowledge of machine shop and production practices. Contribute to process improvements and innovative engineering solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline. Experience performing structural analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA). Strong understanding of structural stress analysis principles, methods, and industry practices. Experience with CAD software such as CATIA and/or NX. Ability to read, interpret, and develop engineering drawings and specifications in accordance with ASME Y14.5, including working knowledge of GD&T.

Experience supporting medium-to-large-scale fabrication, manufacturing, or production environments involving metallic, composite, or mixed-material structures. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels of an organization. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environment. Familiarity with aircraft structural design and analysis. Direct experience with tooling mechanics, fixture design, and stress analysis. Experience designing for manufacturability, considering accessibility, mobility, cost efficiency, and performance requirements. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tooling development for production applications. Experience supporting complex engineering projects involving structural design, analysis, and certification.
