Job Description

Position: .Net Architect

Location: Remote (CST/EST time zone candidates only)

Duration: Long Term (Possible Temp to Hire)

Must Haves:

Experiencedesigning enterprise-scale .NET applications and integrations.

Strongknowledge of C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, modernfront-end frameworks (Angular or React), cloud platforms, applicationarchitecture, and enterprise systems.

The IT Architect is responsible for designing,governing, and enabling technology solutions that support enterprisetransformation initiatives, operational excellence, and business growth. Thisrole partners closely with application development teams, infrastructure teams,project managers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensuretechnology solutions align with enterprise standards, scalability requirements,security practices, and strategic objectives.

The IT Architect serves as a hands-on technicalleader who provides architectural guidance across multiple initiatives,balancing innovation, modernization, and operational execution. The role isinstrumental in advancing AI, automation, cloud, integration, .NETapplication development, full-stack solutions, and modernization effortswhile reducing delivery risk and improving organizational agility.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Solution Architecture

Design and document end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise and operational initiatives, including .NET and full-stack applications.
Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions.
Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle from concept through implementation.
Ensure alignment between business objectives, application architecture, infrastructure, data, integration, and security requirements.
Provide technical guidance on application design, APIs, databases, front-end architecture, and integration patterns.

AI and Automation Enablement

Partner with development and business teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation adoption.
Define architectural patterns and standards that accelerate delivery of automation and AI initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
Support the integration of AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and workflows.

Architecture Governance

Participate in architecture reviews and technology assessments.
Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
Provide technical oversight to ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, performance, and operational requirements.
Assist with technology roadmaps, technical debt reduction strategies, and modernization planning.
Review .NET application architecture, code design, APIs, and technical documentation.

Project and Delivery Support

Serve as the architecture lead for multiple concurrent projects and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with project managers, product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical challenges.
Evaluate technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to improve project delivery success.
Review solution designs, application architecture, integrations, and code, and provide technical guidance to development teams.

Technology Strategy and Modernization

Contribute to enterprise technology roadmaps and digital transformation initiatives.
Support cloud adoption, .NET application modernization, API integration strategies, and platform optimization efforts.
Identify opportunities to improve system scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
Recommend solutions that balance business value, cost, performance, and operational supportability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
5-8 years of experience in solution architecture, .NET/full-stack software engineering, technical leadership, or related IT roles.
Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
Experience with modern front-end technologies such as Angular or React.
Experience designing enterprise-scale applications and integrations.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, full-stack application architecture, and enterprise systems.
Experience working with Agile delivery teams and product-oriented organizations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Experience evaluating technical risks and guiding solution decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI, automation, intelligent workflow, or machine learning initiatives.
Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated industry environments.
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API management platforms.
Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies.
Experience with cloud-native architectures and modernization initiatives.
Experience with Azure, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Relevant cloud, architecture, or technology certifications.
