Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager Associate to support the planning, coordination, and execution of technical initiatives across multiple business and technology teams. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career project management professional looking to grow within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of technical project coordination or project management experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business owners to define, plan, and execute technical initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate technical projects of moderate complexity from initiation through implementation and project closeout.
- Serve as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and project documentation.
- Track project deliverables to ensure work is completed and approved according to established timelines.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies while proactively driving mitigation efforts.
- Monitor project budgets, resource allocations, and project progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate activities across multiple internal teams and delivery partners.
- Support business readiness activities, including implementation planning, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Facilitate project meetings, capture meeting notes, and follow up on action items.
- Prepare project status reports and presentations for project teams and leadership.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, organizational standards, and established project management methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience supporting or coordinating technical projects.
- Experience working in an IT or technical project environment.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating meetings, documenting action items, and following projects through completion.
- Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and project issues while communicating them appropriately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in healthcare, health insurance, or a payer environment.
- CAPM certification or coursework toward PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
