Senior Full Stack Java / Angular Developer with Kafka

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React
• Strong Java/JEE design and development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular 9+
• Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency applications
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and Single-Page Applications
• Experience developing responsive and Section 508-compliant web applications
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications on AWS with PostgreSQL
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams
• Strong experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy
• Experience with REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, JAX-WS, AXIS, Jersey, and CXF
• Experience with OAuth2/JWT and web application security
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, TDD, BDD, and Cucumber
• Experience with Spring Framework, JPA, Hibernate, DB2, Tomcat, and WebSphere
• Experience using SonarQube and addressing bugs, vulnerabilities, hotspots, and technical debt

Preferred Experience:

• Kafka performance optimization, replication, partitioning, and message retention
• Knowledge of current AI technologies and opportunities to apply AI to existing application architectures
• Section 508 accessibility standards
• Technical white papers and system design documents
• Federal or state government IT projects
• Containerization and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
