Java Developer with AI

Job Summary: The Java Developer with AI will design, develop, and deliver cloud-based enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, microservices, and micro-UI development. The role requires strong system design capabilities, experience across the full SDLC, and the ability to translate architecture and leadership objectives into detailed technical designs and solution roadmaps. The developer will also provide technical guidance and coaching to junior and staff-level developers while ensuring solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements related to availability, resiliency, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework. Develop cloud-based solutions using REST APIs, microservices, and micro-UI architectures. Translate proposed architectures and leadership goals into detailed technical design documents and solution roadmaps for engineering teams. Apply system design principles across mid-scale and enterprise application architectures. Design solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements, including availability, resiliency, security, and performance.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including solution delivery. Coach and provide technical guidance to junior and staff-level developers. Partner with Product Owners, SMEs, and Business Analysts to brainstorm, evaluate, and present technical solutions. Participate in technical training, team discussions, assessments, senior leadership meetings, and on-the-job learning activities. Collaborate with technical leadership to strengthen team capabilities and support career development. Provide and receive feedback to promote continuous technical and professional improvement.

Utilize Atlassian tools and development environments to support software development and delivery.

Required Qualifications: 57 years of professional work experience with a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field. 35 years of experience developing applications with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework. 35 years of experience with cloud-based development, REST APIs, microservices, and micro-UI development. Experience coaching junior and staff-level developers. Strong expertise in system design for mid-scale through enterprise applications.

Strong ability to translate architecture and leadership objectives into detailed technical designs and engineering roadmaps. Experience across the full SDLC, including software delivery. Strong understanding of designing for availability, resiliency, security, and performance. 13 years of experience with Atlassian tools including Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, and Confluence. Experience using IDEs and Git repositories for source code management. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-resolution skills.
