Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Weiden, Germany | Hybrid This leading European energy infrastructure firm is seeking a skilled technician to play a pivotal role in the energy transition. The Role • Commissioning, testing, and bringing online medium, high, and extra-high voltage substation components and complete renewal and new construction projects. • Analyzing and resolving faults in protection and control systems in collaboration with expert teams. • Configuring and parameterizing high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Utilizing modern testing equipment for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Collaborating with project management, planning, and installation teams to ensure project success. • Contributing to green energy projects, including the grid connection of industrial facilities and renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • A completed apprenticeship in electrical engineering. • Proficiency and proven experience in protection/control technology, ideally with independent commissioning of switchgear. • Familiarity with common communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Experience with parameterization software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and OMICRON TestUniverse is a plus. • Strong team player with a sense of responsibility, excellent decision-making and communication skills, and fluent German language proficiency. • A valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel within southeastern Germany (typically Monday-Thursday).
