CAD Designer || Remote || (W2 Role)

Job Description         

They have a team of designers that do the spec packages for all the projects

This past year, they''ve overseen interior design of 500+ models and sales offices

Need someone for increase in volume

Backfill for someone who left

They are essentially the interior design function for Lennar

Residential experience is preferred; commercial is ok

AutoCAD is required; AutoMac is preferred

Experience managing multiple projects and timelines

Strong attention to detail; ability to follow templates

They do sometimes receive architectural drawings so they have to be able to import that into the design system and clean it up

But most of the stuff is flooring, lighting, backsplashes, decorative elements

3-5 years of experience is good; need to hit the ground running ideally with some design firm experience

They do not want someone fresh out of college

Day to day: going over construction documents all day

The whole team sits in the west coast

Potential for travel once position converts to full time

Job Description

•                  Complete detailed construction document sets in AutoCAD including space plans, material specification and elevation details that will be used for the permitting, bidding and construction of lot specific homes and Welcome Home Centers.

•                  Provide elevations and built-in details for Model Homes.

•                  Assist with conceptual design, material selections, furniture specification, graphics, etc.

•                  Coordinating projects with consultants, engineers, and field associates

•                  Attend Model Home frame walks and installations as required.

•                  Stay abreast of current building codes and ADA requirements, design trends and practices; attend industry trade shows as needed.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Residential Drafting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn additional program add-ons for AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of current Building and ADA codes preferred.
• Must possess initiative and be highly motivated.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required.
• Strong work ethic, good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
• Moderate Regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) may be required.
