Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, backend services, APIs, and software components using Go, Java, and related technologies to meet business and technical requirements.

Develop scalable, cloud-ready applications using distributed architectures, microservices, and established software design patterns. Contribute to system design, technical planning, and the evaluation of technologies and implementation approaches.

Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot application defects, and resolve performance, integration, and reliability issues. Evaluate third-party and open-source technologies for suitability, maintainability, security, and compatibility with enterprise standards.

Apply secure software development practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Perform unit, integration, and system testing, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments, application maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

6–9 years of software development experience, including hands-on development of enterprise applications using Go and Java. Experience with distributed systems, microservices, API development, secure software engineering, and enterprise application architecture is preferred.

Experience developing and maintaining enterprise software applications that support business operations, application integrations, and digital services.

Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting business operations.

Experience supporting scalable application platforms, distributed services, system integrations, and reliable data exchange across interconnected enterprise systems.

Experience collaborating with product teams, architects, developers, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.

Communication:

Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Documentation:

Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong hands-on programming experience in Go and Java, with knowledge of application architecture, object-oriented design, and software engineering best practices.

Experience developing cloud-native applications, designing APIs, implementing microservices, and evaluating open-source technologies for enterprise use.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to participate in technical design discussions, lead code reviews, and promote secure, high-quality development practices.
