Azure Cloud Architect

This role owns Azure cloud architecture for an enterprise client, with heavy emphasis on regional landing zones and governance. 

The work is architecture-level: designing multi-region landing zones, building Infrastructure as Code that other engineers build on, and implementing governance frameworks that actually get used, not just documented. 

 

• 5+ years of cloud architecture experience, strong Azure focus 

• Hands-on design and implementation of Azure regional landing zones across multiple regions 

• Working proficiency in Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep – built and deployed, not just familiar with 

• Deep experience with Azure Policy, RBAC, and compliance frameworks 

• Comprehensive knowledge of Azure core services, subscriptions, and resource groups 

• Ability to travel periodically for onsite work (up to 25% annually) 

 

• Azure certification (AZ-305 or equivalent) 

• Experience in large enterprise or regulated industry environments 

• Experience with cost optimization strategies at scale.
