Quick Overview
Job Description
Location: New York City
Work Model: Onsite
Industry: Healthcare technology (post-acute care)
Compensation: $110K-$130K base, $220K-$260K OTE
About the Company
Our partner is a Series A healthcare technology company applying AI to the post-acute care market. The team is roughly 40 people, with a go-to-market organization of about a dozen after the current hiring wave. They sell into franchise and independent operators across post-acute care, and their commercial motion is growing quickly enough that they have moved sales recruiting entirely to an external partner.
The Opportunity
This is a high-ownership seat on the SMB side of the business, working directly alongside the Head of Growth and the founding account executive to refine and scale a motion that is still being built. You will not inherit a finished playbook. You will run deals end to end against a buyer set that includes franchisees, independent operators, and regional leaders, and you will be expected to bring back what you learn so the motion improves.
The buyers here are frontline operators rather than technology executives: schedulers, directors of operations, and branch leaders who are deep in the day-to-day. The work rewards someone who can sit with a messy operational problem, understand the workflow behind it, and explain what AI actually changes without reaching for jargon.
Responsibilities
- Own SMB deals end to end, from first conversation through close
- Sell into franchise, independent, and regional post-acute care operators
- Engage frontline buyers including schedulers, directors of operations, and branch leaders
- Diagnose customer workflows and translate them into a clear case for the product
- Manage dozens of active opportunities at once without losing momentum
- Work directly with the Head of Growth and founding account executive to refine and scale the SMB sales motion
Requirements
- Three or more years in SaaS or tech-enabled sales
- Experience selling to SMBs, franchises, or decentralized operators
- Comfort engaging frontline operational buyers rather than only executive stakeholders
- Operationally minded, with the ability to diagnose how a customer actually works
- Clear communicator who can make AI concepts simple and concrete
- Highly organized, able to manage a high volume of concurrent deals
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York City for fully onsite work
