Structural Engineer - Hybrid

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Structural Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Engineering and Professional Services Firm located in Hillsboro, OR or Corvallis, OR. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will contribute from day one by developing design concepts and technical studies that support client decision making, as well as overseeing the production of detailed drawing packages for structures, infrastructure, and equipment. You will work across all phases of design and continue supporting projects through construction and post-construction client engagement, helping to deliver state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in presentations, attend client meetings, and conduct existing site analysis
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and consultants to advance project goals
• Provide technical and analytical expertise to the Site Based Advanced Facilities team
• Apply strong design, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Support engineering strategies and coordinate with clients and subcontractors
• Contribute during construction through site visits, review of submittals and RFIs

Requirements:

• PE and/or SE license
• Structural engineering analysis software experience (Staad or similar)
• At least 2 years of experience in Structural Design in both Steel and Concrete
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic experience or familiarity with preparing design drawings across all project phases
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in-office and project site attendance
• Willingness to travel to project sites on an as-needed basis (up to 25% across the lower 48 states)
• Must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, and lift/carry up to 25lbs for field visits
• Must be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States

Desired skills:

• Experience with semiconductor facilities
• Experience with innovative or complex design projects
• Prior experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong presentation and graphic skills
• Experience with project scoping and development
• Experience with NavisWorks and/or Revit BIM software
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base
• Passion for buildings and construction

Pay range: up to $45.91 per hour
