Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (PHX)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Work Mode: Hybrid 3 Days/Week Onsite

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, API testing, and Java coding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications across UI and API layers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Perform UI and end-to-end automation testing for web applications.
  • Develop and execute API tests using appropriate API testing tools and frameworks.
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable Java code for automation frameworks and test scripts.
  • Create and maintain automated regression, smoke, functional, and integration test suites.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Participate in test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and provide detailed test execution reports.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
  • Strong Java programming and coding skills.
  • Solid experience with API testing and REST APIs.
  • Experience developing or working with automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, or similar Java testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Git and source-control practices.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and automated test execution.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
