These capabilities define how leaders inspire teams, deliver results, and shape the future of Mission Job Description HII Mission Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Security Engineering (Cybersecurity) professional supporting the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft and Bombers Directorates at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. As a System Security Engineering (Cybersecurity) Professional, you will integrate cybersecurity, System Security Engineering (SSE), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment and Authorization (A&A), and Department of War (DoW)/Department of the Air Force acquisition requirements across aircraft, avionics, weapon systems, cyber-physical embedded Operational Technology (OT), and related mission technologies. This position works on-site within a military/government executive program office supporting senior leaders, program managers, engineers, OEMs, contractors, and acquisition stakeholders. The role is technical-administrative, focused on SSE, RMF/A&A, cybersecurity risk, technical documentation, engineering support, and executive decision support-not SOC, incident response, network operations, or system administration. The successful candidate will possess progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, SSE, systems engineering, avionics, information technology, networking, OT, or a related technical field, with demonstrated independence, technical judgment, ownership, and ability to solve complex problems. Candidates must be self-directed, collaborative lifelong learners with working knowledge of avionics, mission systems, cyber-physical embedded OT, and networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing/switching, segmentation, security boundaries, encryption, authentication, authorization, interfaces, and data flows. This individual can be a Level 3 or 4, depending on experience:
- CyberSecurity Architect 3 anticipated salary range: $98,280 - $150,000
- CyberSecurity Architect 4 anticipated salary range: $116,771 - $175,000 Essential Job Responsibilities Execute DoW RMF/A&A activities, including system categorization, security control selection and tailoring, implementation review, evidence development, risk analysis, assessment support, and authorization package development. • Support IATT and ATO activities by developing and reviewing SSPs, SCTMs, AARs, SARs, RARs, POA&Ms, continuous monitoring strategies, control implementation statements, and supporting evidence. • Review architectures, engineering designs, network diagrams, interfaces, requirements, and acquisition/test documentation to evaluate security controls, vulnerabilities, dependencies, and cybersecurity risk. • Apply working knowledge of cybersecurity testing, STIGs, vulnerability assessment, security control assessment, and SSE to support testing, mitigation, remediation, and closure. • Perform functions associated with SSE, RMF/A&A, ISSO, ISSM, and related cybersecurity responsibilities based on program requirements. • Participate in IPTs, engineering reviews, technical interchange meetings, risk boards, configuration reviews, and other multidisciplinary program activities. • Analyze cybersecurity, engineering, acquisition, test, sustainment, cost, schedule, and mission considerations and translate complex issues into clear, decision-quality recommendations for senior military and civilian leadership. • Provide technically defensible cybersecurity guidance to government customers, engineers, OEMs, system integrators, contractors, test organizations, and other stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Cyber Security Architect 3 must have 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Cyber Security Architect 4 must have 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- At least one certification in:
- CISSP
- CISM
- CCISO
- GSLC
- CompTIA SecurityX Preferred Requirements
- CCNA
- CCNP
- AWS Specialty or Advanced Certification
