Quick Overview
Job Description
Well, there's a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. With over 100 products sold nationwide, we're now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We're not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.

Establish launch scorecards and reporting that measure distribution, velocity, merchandising, promotional execution, trade performance, and other agreed-upon KPIs.
Partner with Field Sales and Sales Operations to track customer commitments, item setup, authorization, placement, promotional plans, and launch readiness. Lead regular launch reviews to identify gaps, resolve issues, and maintain accountability across commercial teams. Strong understanding of CPG commercialization and the requirements for successfully launching new products at retail.
Ability to translate consumer, category, customer, and financial insights into actionable commercial strategies. Working knowledge of MAPS, revenue growth management, trade promotion, category management, shopper marketing, and customer planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and communicate business cases. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and build persuasive, data-driven selling stories.
Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple launches, deadlines, and cross-functional dependencies simultaneously. Experience using syndicated data such as Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, or SPINS; experience with retailer-specific data platforms is also preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Four to six years of experience in Sales Strategy, Commercialization, Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, Category Management, Sales Planning, or a related CPG function.
Experience creating customer-facing selling materials and presenting strategic recommendations to commercial stakeholders. Experience developing sales forecasts, launch assumptions, pricing recommendations, or projected trade-spend impacts. Personal Characteristics
Commercially minded business builder who takes ownership and delivers results. Consumer- and customer-focused, with the ability to balance marketplace opportunities with Kinder's broader business priorities. Curious and analytical, with a desire to understand what drives category and customer performance.
Location and Travel
The position will be based onsite in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. Fridays are flex days with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them.
The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder's reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs. We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don't live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here. We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE
We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.
