Job Description
LV Collective, a fast-growing, vertically integrated real estate firm, is seeking a Summer 2027 Real Estate Investments Intern to join its collaborative team in Austin, Texas.
In this role, you will support the evaluation of investment and development opportunities across LV Collective’s multifamily and student housing portfolio. Your work will contribute directly to investment decisions through financial analysis and market research, for opportunities across the US.
About the Role
LV Collective is seeking a Real Estate Investments Intern to join our Investments Team.
The investments intern will work closely alongside the team, underwriting investment opportunities, conducting market analyses, and aiding the team during due diligence and closing processes. This role provides a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced team with numerous active projects, pursuits, and a goal for growth. The LV Investments team is seeking a candidate who is interested in real estate development, acquisitions, capital markets, eager to learn, and most importantly, driven to contribute to team success.
Job Responsibilities
Underwriting & Due Diligence
· Assist Investments Team with underwriting new opportunities, providing detailed financial models, research and analyses. The goal of this process will be to build the necessary skills throughout the summer to complete a full underwriting for a live pipeline deal.
· Conduct due diligence, research, and business plans for new development and acquisition opportunities nationwide.
Market Research & Analysis
· Perform market research and in-depth analysis of student housing & multifamily markets.
· Maintain up to date rental rate, pre-lease, and occupancy data for active development and acquisition markets.
· Monitor industry trends and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Collaboration & Reporting
· Support the investments team in preparing investment summaries, pitch decks, and presentations for internal decisions and external stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
· Support all aspects from land identification, underwriting, capital markets, and closing processes within the principal side of real estate finance.
Other
· Attend weekly project coordination meetings on active development & acquisition projects.
· Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience
· Pursuing bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Preferred previous internship experience or involvement on campus in real estate, finance, or related fields.
· Preferred graduation year of 2028 or 2029.
Business Skills
· Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial modeling tools.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to learn and apply new AI tools to improve research, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
· Ability to conduct thorough research, identify key takeaways, and clearly communicate findings.
