Turn an ambitious MES roadmap into real manufacturing impact. The MES Delivery Manager / Project Manager will create the alignment, structure, and momentum required to transform strategic manufacturing objectives into successful operational deployment.
Working across Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Global IT, and external partners, this role ensures that MES initiatives are translated into executable plans, delivered on schedule, and generate measurable value for production operations. The position acts as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership to ensure successful execution of the MES roadmap.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Translate the MES roadmap into an executable delivery plan with clear outcomes, ownership, milestones, and success criteria.
- Coordinate delivery activities across Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Global IT, and external implementation partners.
- Drive alignment between stakeholders and ensure required decisions, inputs, and commitments are provided in a timely manner.
- Manage project schedules, interdependencies, risks, resource requirements, and deliverables across multiple parallel MES workstreams.
- Monitor progress against key milestones and proactively identify delivery challenges and mitigation actions.
- Remove obstacles and escalate critical issues where necessary to maintain project momentum and delivery targets.
- Facilitate structured communication and reporting across operational, technical, and leadership organizations.
- Support the transition from process definition and system configuration through testing, implementation, and operational release.
- Ensure stakeholders remain engaged and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuously identify opportunities for delivery improvement, process optimization, and increased business impact from MES capabilities.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions to enable sustainable digital manufacturing transformation.
- Support program governance activities, including status reporting, risk reviews, and executive-level updates.
Qualification Checklist
- Experience managing cross-functional projects within manufacturing, digitalization, MES, ERP, or enterprise system environments.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure, transparency, and execution focus to complex organizational environments.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, dependency management, and risk management capabilities.
- Proven ability to drive alignment and secure commitments from operational, technical, and management stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and the challenges associated with digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to balance strategic objectives with day-to-day execution requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong ownership mindset, curiosity, and commitment to delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Experience working in fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are beneficial.
