Job Title: Salesforce Developer (Contract)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our IT team on a contract basis. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Salesforce-based workforce management solutions. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot production issues, resolve system defects, develop Apex solutions, manage security configurations, and ensure the Salesforce platform operates efficiently while collaborating with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Salesforce applications and workforce management solutions.

Design, configure, update, and maintain Salesforce forms, page layouts, and custom objects.

Configure and manage field-level security, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, and user access.

Develop, enhance, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and integrations.

Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Write and optimize SOQL queries for performance, including complex and cross-object queries.

Perform bug fixes, system enhancements, and ongoing application maintenance.

Support deployment activities, testing, and release management.

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.

Prepare technical documentation and provide regular project status updates.

Ensure Salesforce best practices for security, scalability, and performance are followed.

Work independently to prioritize tasks and deliver quality solutions within project timelines.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Salesforce Administration experience.

3+ years of hands-on Apex development experience.

Strong experience with Salesforce configuration, including:

Custom Objects

Validation Rules

Flows

Profiles

Permission Sets

Field-Level Security

Page Layouts

Experience developing Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, and asynchronous processing.

Strong knowledge of SOQL, including query optimization and relationship queries.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving Salesforce production issues.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Administrator Certification.

Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.

Experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience.

Knowledge of Salesforce deployment and release management processes.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiarity with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
