Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build back-end services and UI components that support data-centric clinical and analytic applications. The role focuses on cloud-based microservices and web applications that meet uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale with data volume and traffic growth. You will collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to deliver applications that benefit clinical practice and patients.

Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements into well-structured, tested code in collaboration with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects.


• Design and develop services for data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.


• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end services using Python and FastAPI with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.


• Develop UI/UX features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript with a focus on usability and accessibility.


• Participate in DevOps and Agile practices including CI/CD, code reviews, and continuous integration and deployment.


• Containerize and deploy services using Docker/Podman to Google Cloud Platform Cloud Run and related services.


• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for cloud resources and services.


• Integrate with ApigeeX for API management, OAuth, and Microsoft EntraID for authentication and authorization.


• Ensure documentation of processes, architecture, and source code is accurate and current.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues through root cause analysis and data/system investigation.


• Contribute to design and architecture discussions and mentor junior engineers.


• Work independently with minimal guidance and lead project steps or small projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript with experience in React for UI development.


• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI and documenting with Swagger/OpenAPI.


• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run Services and Jobs, ApigeeX, and Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL.


• Containerization skills using Docker or Podman and CI/CD implementation experience.


• Infrastructure as code with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.


• Knowledge of OAuth flows and identity integration with Microsoft EntraID.


• Understanding of healthcare data and standards including Claude Code.


• Strong problem solving, time management, communication, and collaboration skills.


• Experience with Agile software development and modern application development frameworks.


• Education and experience: Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Associate's with 7+ years. Proficiency in a high-level language such as C, C++, Golang, Java, or C#.

Preferred Skills:

• Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.


• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services across Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.


• Background in databases, analytics, big data systems, or business intelligence products.


• Track record building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems.


• Experience in healthcare software development.
