Regulatory Reporting Project Lead (Interim Contract) - eFinancialCareers

We are working exclusively with one of the UK’s longest standing building societies in the South-East of England to help find them someone to lead on a new finance project on an interim basis. This will be an exciting newly created to complete review of the controls, interpretation documentation, procedural documentation for each of the in-scope regulatory returns, future-proofed for SDDT regime and Society transformation

Role Description

1. Mapping of the regulatory reporting processes and identification of key risks and control
2. A list of Key Controls/Checklist (across each of the defined risk dimensions), for each of the regulatory returns in scope of the project. With the ability to extend the same Control Framework (and checklist) across the wider regulatory reporting landscape over time
3. Defined roles and responsibilities across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line teams (3LOD) re: ongoing regulatory reporting control effectiveness
4. A documented forward pipeline of opportunities to further enhance the regulatory reporting ecosystem – subject to further cost/benefit analysis and change prioritisation

Role Requirements

1. Experienced regulatory reporting professional
2. Understands landscape and regulations
3. Experience of process mapping and 3LOD control framework design/shaping
4. Disciplined in managing defined project outcomes and timelines
5. Familiar with audit mindset (SOx experience helpful but not essential)
6. Used to managing stakeholders (sponsor, Board)
7. Self-starter, run/drive project activities
