Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Engineering Test Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of assembly, validation, and qualification testing of both hydraulic and electromechanical actuation products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fabrication, Assembly & use of test fixtures and test rigs
• Assemble and test hydraulic actuators and electro-mechanical actuators
• Acceptance testing of hydraulic and/or electromechanical products
• Ensure calibration and certification of all instrumentation utilized for test
• Coordinate maintenance activities related to the test area
• Support external testing activities at labs when necessary
• Perform basic machining operations using drill press, Bridgeport mill, manual deburr and polishing

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree preferred in:
• Mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical discipline, or equivalent job experience preferred.
• Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and proficiency in the use of drawings, specifications, basic math, computer, technical and mechanical skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with AS9100 Quality System
• Blueprint reading and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
• Demonstrated technical capabilities working in a team environment
• Ability to use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
• Ability to handle fast paced environment
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Minimum 1 year experience in assembly, test, & troubleshooting of electromechanical & hydraulic actuation products or related mechanical experience required. General hydraulic theory and knowledge preferred.
