Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for building, automating, and supporting modern cloud-native infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact, greenfield initiative focused on designing and scaling enterprise platforms that support mission-critical applications and data workloads.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Terragrunt).
- Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Helm.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
- Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform capabilities.
- Research and implement emerging DevOps technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including:
- IAM
- EC2
- AMIs
- EBS
- EFS
- VPC Networking
- Route 53
- EKS
- CloudWatch
- CloudWatch Alarms
- Experience with:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Terraform
- Terragrunt
- Helm
- Git
- GitHub and/or GitLab
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, including:
- Splunk
- OpenTelemetry (OTel)
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- Alertmanager
- Programming and scripting experience with:
- Python
- Shell scripting (Bash)
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with distributed file storage technologies such as NFS, Amazon FSx, OpenZFS, or similar.
