Cloud Security Engineer (AWS Security & IAM)

Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) to strengthen our cloud security posture. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage security controls across AWS environments while ensuring compliance, governance, and risk mitigation. Experience with CrowdStrike is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures within AWS environments.
• Manage and optimize AWS security services, including:
• AWS IAM
• AWS Organizations
• AWS Security Hub
• AWS GuardDuty
• AWS Config
• AWS KMS
• AWS CloudTrail
• AWS WAF
• Develop, maintain, and enforce IAM policies, roles, permissions, and least-privilege access models.
• Conduct cloud security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation activities.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents across cloud infrastructures.
• Implement cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support security audits and compliance initiatives such as SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Utilize CrowdStrike tools for endpoint detection, threat hunting, and incident response.
• Automate security processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS security services and controls.
• Expert knowledge of AWS IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity federation.
• Experience implementing cloud security frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
• Understanding of security monitoring, logging, and SIEM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
• AWS Security Specialty Certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent security certifications.
• Experience in DevSecOps environments.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
