Job Description

G MASS are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong middle and back office settlements experience to support a global bank's T+1 readiness programme. This is a hands-on, 12-month contract role within an established Capital Markets technology programme.

The core function is to capture requirements from settlements and operations teams and translate them into functional specifications for Broadridge, who own development on the GLOSS platform, then manage testing through to sign off.

Responsibilities:

Working within a cross-functional team, the consultant will be responsible for:

  • Engaging middle and back office and settlements teams to elicit T+1 related requirements
  • Documenting requirements clearly and handing them off to Broadridge for development
  • Managing the full QA and UAT cycle, including receiving the vendor build, running QA, handing off to business users for testing, coordinating regression testing, and securing sign off
  • Working through a high volume of requirements and testing cycles independently and at pace
  • Liaising directly with Broadridge throughout the requirements and testing process
  • Technical BA background with genuine middle or back office settlements experience, not front office
  • GLOSS experience is essential; where direct GLOSS exposure is limited, strong settlements or cash management process knowledge with proven ability to translate requirements into vendor language will be considered
  • Experience managing a full testing lifecycle, including QA, UAT, and regression testing, through to sign off
  • Comfortable acting as the bridge between internal operations teams and an external development vendor
  • Not a developer and not a static data specialist by background
  • Ideally has come up through a BAU middle or back office operations route before moving into a BA capacity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently at pace
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Rate: £70-80k
  • Location: London
  • Start: July / August
