Job Description

ThreeTrader is looking for a hands-on AI & Marketing Automation Lead to design, build and continuously improve the AI and automation systems behind our marketing — across acquisition, content production, campaigns, client nurturing and analytics.

By connecting AI, our CRM, ad platforms and internal data, you will cut repetitive manual work, raise marketing efficiency and deliver measurable commercial results. Over time, you will build a scalable, semi-automated marketing function.

This is a builder-leader role. You will own process design, tool selection, delivery and team enablement — and you will be expected to implement, not just advise.

Key responsibilities

1. Set the marketing automation roadmap

  • Map current marketing processes, roles, tools and data sources, and identify where automation will pay off most.
  • Build 90-day and 12-month implementation plans, prioritised by business value, effort and risk.
  • Define which tasks AI performs, which require human review, and how exceptions are handled.

2. Build AI-powered marketing workflows

  • Create end-to-end workflows from brief and market research through drafting, asset production, review, publishing and performance review.
  • Support production and iteration of ad copy, email, landing pages, social content and Japanese-market content.
  • Build a brand knowledge base, content templates and quality checks so output is accurate and on-brand.
  • Make successful workflows reusable across the team, reducing reliance on any one person's know-how.

3. Integrate CRM and the client journey

  • Connect HubSpot, the client portal, ad platforms, website events and other business data.
  • Optimise journeys across registration, identity verification, first deposit, activation, retention and win-back.
  • Protect existing segments, journeys and historical records when systems or data integrations change.
  • Build deduplication, retries, logging, monitoring and alerting so automations run reliably.

4. Build analytics and optimisation capability

  • Align event definitions, lifecycle stages and marketing metrics with the marketing and engineering teams.
  • Automate channel and campaign reporting, flag data anomalies and recommend improvements.
  • Enable conversion and CAC analysis by channel, campaign and client segment.
  • Run before-and-after evaluations on every automation to prove hours saved and business impact.

5. Drive AI adoption across the team

  • Create clear playbooks, review standards and training materials for each role.
  • Help marketers build AI into their daily work and keep improving results.
  • Manage tools, vendors and implementation resources, keeping cost and system complexity in check.
  • Work with Marketing, Engineering and Compliance to govern client data access and publishing permissions.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years in Marketing Operations, Growth Engineering, CRM, marketing automation or systems integration.
  • 2+ years applying generative AI to real business workflows, with live examples you can show.
  • Led at least two cross-system automation projects end to end — requirements, build, launch and ongoing maintenance.
  • Strong grasp of the marketing funnel and how registration, verification, first deposit, activation and retention connect.
  • Hands-on HubSpot (or comparable CRM) implementation experience: workflows, properties, segmentation and event triggers.
  • Fluency with APIs, webhooks, JSON, data mapping and identity resolution; able to troubleshoot data issues between systems.
  • Can write integration logic in Python or JavaScript and use SQL to query and validate data.
  • Experience with at least one automation platform (n8n, Make or Zapier), and the judgement to know when low-code is enough and when custom development is needed.
  • Practical experience with generative AI APIs, structured outputs, retrieval over knowledge bases and output quality evaluation.
  • Able to design human review, exception handling and rollback so workflows stay under control.
  • Measures success in business outcomes, not tool usage or content volume.
  • Works effectively in English with marketing and engineering teams across regions.

Nice to have

  • Experience in FX, brokerage, fintech or another regulated industry.
  • Japanese-market or multilingual marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with ad tracking, web analytics, lifecycle marketing and attribution.
  • A track record of moving a marketing team from heavy manual work to standardised, automated workflows.
  • Experience managing technical teams or vendors, or leading cross-functional projects.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus
  • Opportunity to own and shape creative direction in a high-growth market
  • A collaborative, international team culture with flat hierarchy
  • Modern office in Taichung with flexible working arrangements
  • Professional development budget and access to industry tools and resources
  • The chance to be part of a pivotal growth phase in the Asia-Pacific FinTech space
