Our client, Convergint Federal, is seeking an experienced Service Technician III to support a major electronic security program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio.

This is a unique opportunity to become the dedicated on-site security systems expert supporting one of the nation's most important Air Force installations. You'll work independently, leverage your technical expertise, and play a key role in maintaining mission-critical security technologies across the installation.

What You'll Do

As the on-site Service Technician, you'll serve as the primary resource for maintaining and supporting electronic security systems across multiple facilities at WPAFB.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electronic security systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems
  • Conduct system inspections and maintenance activities
  • Support Genetec security platforms and associated field devices
  • Diagnose system faults and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain service documentation and maintenance records
  • Interface directly with Air Force stakeholders and facility personnel
  • Support security system upgrades and improvements as required
  • Serve as the primary embedded technician supporting approximately 14 buildings across the installation

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience supporting electronic security systems
  • Experience with access control, video surveillance, and/or intrusion detection systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Genetec Access Control Certification
  • Genetec Video Certification
  • Prior federal, military, or government facility experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Previous installation, service, or maintenance technician experience
Clearance Information

An active Secret Clearance is highly desirable but not required. Candidates who are clearance eligible and able to obtain a clearance may also be considered.
