Job Description

Anderson Knight is recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join a busy project team based on the Sellafield Site on a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.


This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to join a well-established business supporting a major project environment. The role is focused on providing comprehensive administrative support to the project team, ensuring compliance records, training requirements, project documentation, and key administrative activities are managed efficiently.


This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment and play a key role in supporting successful project delivery.


Location: Sellafield Site

Salary: £30,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday working pattern, 7:00am to 4:30pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break.


The Role


Working closely with the project team, you will be responsible for coordinating administrative activities, maintaining compliance and training records, supporting project documentation, and ensuring effective communication across the project. You will act as a key point of contact for administration and provide support to various stakeholders across the business.


Key Responsibilities


• Maintaining and updating SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) packs, including monitoring subcontractor SQEP documentation.

• Tracking competency and training requirements for all personnel assigned to the project.

• Ensuring all Sellafield-specific training, site inductions, mandatory modules, and renewals are completed and up to date.

• Liaising with training providers, HR teams, and line managers to coordinate and arrange training requirements.

• Maintaining accurate digital and physical training records in line with project and client standards.

• Scheduling internal and external meetings for project managers and team members.

• Tracking actions arising from meetings and following up to ensure deadlines are met.

• Assisting with the creation, organisation, and maintenance of project documentation.

• Supporting the preparation of reports, compliance documentation, and project submission packs.

• Maintaining structured filing systems and ensuring accurate version control of documents.

• Supporting audit requirements and quality assurance processes.

• Acting as the primary administrative point of contact for the Sellafield project team.

• Processing purchase orders, timesheets, expenses, and other project-related administration.

• Liaising with internal departments including HR, HSEQ, and Procurement, as well as external stakeholders.

• Providing ad hoc administrative support to Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery.


To be successful in this role, you will have:


• Previous experience within an administrative or project support role.

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• The ability to manage confidential and compliance-sensitive documentation.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work using your own initiative.

• A professional, reliable, and team-focused approach.


Desirable


• Previous experience within construction, engineering, nuclear, or other regulated industries.

• Previous Sellafield site experience.

• P4 Pass Holder status.
