For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Responsibilities:
The Employee Health Staff Nurse provides nursing care to Calvary Hospital employees, volunteers, and visitors. Works collaboratively with or in the absence of the Employee Health Department Director to ensure the daily operation and delivery of care in the Employee Health Department.
Qualifications:
- Four (4) - eight (8) years Medical/Surgical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
- Prior Employee Health Department or similar experience preferred.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills with ability to take initiative and function autonomously.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- A Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure by the New York State Board of Nursing.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Type: Part-Time, 3 Shifts a week on the Day Shift (8 AM - 4 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
Salary: $60.2528 - $74.3112/hourly
