Description
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Traveling Cable / Low-Voltage Technicians to low voltage rollout projects. This role involves nationwide travel, working as part of a team to install, cable, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems. Technicians will be responsible for complete end-to-end installation activities, including structured cabling, hardware mounting, validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
Terminate, label, and organize cabling in IDFs and camera locations
Test and certify cabling using industry-standard testing equipment (Fluke preferred)
Unistrut
Conduit
Surface and ceiling mounts
Verify network connectivity to required IDFs
Make physical camera adjustments as requested by the client AP team
Return to sites as needed for follow-up adjustments or corrections
Capture and upload required deliverables:
Test results
Validation documentation
Upload documentation into ServiceNow
Follow all site safety, PPE, and customer requirements
Work effectively in teams of four on overnight shifts (typically four nights per store)

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years experience in low-voltage or structured cabling environments
Strong hands-on experience with:
CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
Termination and testing
Retail or commercial environments
Ability to read and follow installation scopes, shot guides, and diagrams
Comfortable working in IDFs and ladder/lift environments
Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended periods
Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain productivity
Preferred Qualifications
Fluke certification or strong testing experience
Conduit bending or light electrical/EMT experience
Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/documentation systems

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
