Job Description:

The School of Business invites applications for a 10 month, full-time, Marketing Faculty position. We seek an innovative educator and experienced marketing professional who can bring current industry practices, emerging technologies, and real-world business experiences into the classroom.

The successful candidate will prepare students to think critically, communicate effectively, analyze data, make ethical decisions, and navigate an increasingly technology-driven marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging undergraduate marketing courses in in-person and online formats.
  • Develop innovative, student-centered, outcomes-based curricula.
  • Incorporate experiential and project-based learning, including case studies, simulations, client projects, and other real-world applications.
  • Provide meaningful and timely feedback on student work.
  • Maintain regular in-person and virtual office hours and support student success.
  • Stay current with emerging marketing practices, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues on curriculum development and School of Business initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the broader University community.
  • Teaching 21 credits annually (fall/spring) in-person and online (synchronous/asynchronous) courses based on program needs.

Candidates will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) or Instructor, based on their qualifications and experience.

  • Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track): Terminal degree in Marketing or a related business field, with a master’s degree in Marketing or an MBA including at least 18 marketing credits; candidates completing a doctorate must defend by August 2027. Requires at least three years of college-level teaching and relevant marketing industry experience.
  • Instructor: Graduate degree in Marketing or an MBA, with at least five years of college-level teaching and five years of marketing industry experience at the manager/director level or above.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Willingness to engage in university service.
  • Ability to conduct scholarly research.
  • Evidence of successful undergraduate teaching required.
  • Professional experience in marketing or related business fields is an advantage.

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000
