About the Role
Join a trial-focused law firm as a civil litigation attorney, with consideration for candidates at the associate or partner level. You will handle matters from inception through trial and build substantial courtroom experience.
What You'll Do
Manage civil litigation matters from initial assessment through trial.
Draft discovery requests and responses, and prepare substantive motions.
Take and defend depositions.
Participate in trials as first or second chair.
Work directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims handlers.
What We're Looking For
At least 7 years of post-bar experience in civil litigation or transferable courtroom practice.
Admission to the New York State Bar and experience practicing in New York.
Insurance defense litigation experience, including motion practice and depositions.
Strong legal writing skills and a writing sample.
A demonstrated interest in trial work and readiness to take an active courtroom role.
Ability to meet a 2,000-hour annual billable requirement.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site, five days per week, in Fishkill, New York. Candidates should be able to commute to the office.
