Job Description

Senior Manager - Fund Tax Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review federal, state, and other tax filings for investment funds and related entities.
  • Review tax provisions and disclosures included in financial statements.
  • Manage tax analyses affecting fund distributions, including complex book-to-tax adjustments and investment-related tax considerations.
  • Support distribution planning and reporting to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Oversee fund-level tax compliance testing and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate tax implications related to fund restructurings, mergers, and other corporate actions.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to internal controls.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members while providing technical tax guidance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, operations, legal, and portfolio management stakeholders.


Senior Manager - Fund Tax Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 7+ years of tax experience within public accounting, financial services, asset management, or investment fund environments.
  • Strong knowledge of investment-related taxation, partnership taxation, or regulated investment company (RIC) taxation.
  • Experience researching complex tax issues and interpreting regulatory guidance.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with tax research tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
