Job Description

This is a remote role open only to candidates based in Illinois, Texas, or Georgia.

Join Voyfai, a fast-growing Series A startup shaping the future of logistics and technology across Europe.

Headquartered in Berlin, we operate at the centre of a broader group of companies active across several European markets, and we're now expanding into the United States.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership from day one, drive meaningful impact and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Whether you're shaping processes, building strategies or leading initiatives, your contributions will directly influence the success of Voyfai and the companies we support. If you're passionate about building from scratch and excited to be part of a company on the rise, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Role

We are looking for a Corporate Development & M&A Associate to own the full deal cycle end to end, from first outreach to a prospect through to signing, closing, and integration. This is not a support-only seat. You will originate opportunities, build the relationships, run the analysis, and drive transactions across the finish line, working directly with the Director of Corporate Development & M&A and with Voyfai's executive team.

As Voyfai's first Corporate Development & M&A hire in the Americas, you will take ownership of building out this function, starting with the US and expanding over time to Canada and Latin America as our presence across the region grows. You will spend meaningful time on the road (up to 40-50% travel across North America): generating leads, meeting prospects, pitching Voyfai's vision, and sitting across the table from the founders and shareholders of potential targets. The ideal candidate is a genuine do-er who is equally comfortable building a valuation model, walking a target's shareholders and management through why Voyfai is the right home for their business, and coordinating a cross-functional diligence team under a live deadline.

What You Will Do

  • Build and own a pipeline of acquisition and investment targets, sourcing through market mapping, direct outreach, referrals, advisors, and industry events

  • Meet prospects in person and virtually, build trust with founders and management teams, and act as an early ambassador for Voyfai

  • Articulate Voyfai's strategy, platform, and value proposition to prospective targets and their shareholders, positioning Voyfai as the partner and acquirer of choice

  • Conduct first-pass strategic, commercial, and financial assessment of opportunities, quickly determining fit and framing a clear recommendation on whether to advance

  • Build and own detailed financial models, including valuation (DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis), accretion/dilution, IRR/return, synergy, and scenario analyses

  • Own transaction workstreams from initial evaluation through signing and closing, including structuring and negotiation support, data room management, and process timelines

  • Coordinate cross-functional and third-party diligence across finance, legal, tax, product, technology, and commercial workstreams, synthesizing findings into clear value drivers and risks

  • Prepare investment memoranda, business cases, and Board and executive-level presentations that distill complex analysis into clear, decision-ready recommendations

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field. MBA a plus but not required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, transaction advisory, or a related deal environment, including at least 2 years of genuine, hands-on exposure across the M&A lifecycle — sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and closing — through direct client or owner interaction

  • Confidence fielding real, in-person questions from business owners and their advisors on deal structure, governance, and process, without senior-level backup

  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong relationship-building instincts — you can build rapport with founders and executives, run a meeting with credibility, and carry the analysis afterward for senior leadership

  • A self-starter, ownership-oriented mindset with a bias toward action, comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America (up to 40-50%)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain

  • Experience sourcing and maintaining a proprietary M&A pipeline

  • Proficiency using AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, target screening, diligence, and analysis

What We Offer

  • Base salary from $100,000 to $150,000 per year, based on your experience and location

  • Eligible for variable bonus

  • Eligible for our virtual stock option programme (VSOP): a stake in Voyfai's success, subject to the plan terms

  • Medical insurance, with Voyfai paying the majority of your premium, and the option to add your spouse, partner and children with a Voyfai contribution to their premium

  • A health plan that qualifies for a Health Savings Account (HSA)

  • Dental and vision plans available at group rates

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • 15 days of paid vacation, 7 paid holidays and paid sick leave as required by your state

  • Workers' compensation insurance

  • A company laptop
