Senior Indirect Tax Manager

Job DescriptionWe have been engaged by the VP of Tax of a large distribution and manufacturing company to help identify a key member of their tax department. This Senior Indirect Tax Manager will oversee a group of indirect tax professionals responsible for compliance, research and planning and audit management.

This is a great opportunity to let your team building and mentoring skills shine.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n\n Build and mentor a team of tax professionals handling complex compliance and advisory work\n Own indirect tax strategy—from process design to technical problem-solving\n Drive automation, control improvements, and operational scalability\n Partner with Finance and IT to modernize systems and workflows\n Lead defensible tax positions through risk identification, research, and documentation\n\n\nWhat We Need\n\n\n 8+ years indirect tax experience (progressive roles)\n 3–5 years leading teams\n CPA or equivalent expertise a plus\n Deep knowledge of tax engines, ERP systems, and data automation (Vertex, SAP, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.)\n SOX and tax research platform experience a plus\n\n\nWhy This Matters\n\nThis is a leader role, not a coordinator role.
