Job Description
A national client is seeking a Mid‑Level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Phoenix office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience who is looking to build a sophisticated employment litigation and counseling practice within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle employment‑related litigation matters, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenants
- Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery, including managing complex factual and legal issues
- Litigate restrictive covenant and trade secrets disputes
- Provide employment counseling support to HR professionals and business leaders
- Draft and advise on bonus and incentive plans, employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, and employment policies
- Partner with senior attorneys on strategy, risk assessment, and client communications
Preferred Experience
- Meaningful experience litigating employment law claims
- Exposure to restrictive covenant, non‑compete, and trade secrets matters
- Experience advising clients on workplace policies, compensation structures, and employment agreements
- Candidates with strong general litigation backgrounds and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law are encouraged to apply
Qualifications
- Active admission to the Arizona Bar (required)
- JD from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment
- Self‑starter who works well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
