Network Engineer
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure by defining system configurations, directing installations, and establishing network standards and documentation.
• Develop and deploy new network solutions while enhancing the resiliency, scalability, and performance of existing environments.
• Monitor and optimize network performance through proactive analysis, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and scheduled upgrades.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents and outages across local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) using data from multiple monitoring and diagnostic sources.
• Collaborate with network architects and cross-functional teams to implement network improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Ensure network security by establishing and enforcing policies, managing access controls, and monitoring compliance with security standards.
• Support business continuity objectives through network redundancy, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery planning.

Required Qualifications
Networking

• Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting SD-WAN solutions.
• Proficiency with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analysis tools such as SolarWinds and Wireshark.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and network architecture concepts.

Network Infrastructure & Security

• Experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise-class switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networking solutions.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies, network segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Ability to analyze network traffic, diagnose connectivity and performance issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Understanding of network security best practices, including access control, firewall management, and threat mitigation.

Windows Server Administration

• Familiarity with Windows Server administration and security best practices.
• Experience with patch management, firewall configuration, identity and access management, and system hardening.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in complex enterprise network environments.
