Software Quality Engineer, OnBase

Location: Salem, OR (97312) or Remote
Employment Type: 36+ Month W2 Contract
Work Authorization: No C2C or sponsorship available

About the Role

Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer (SQE) to support a large-scale enterprise application and integration initiative.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience testing complex enterprise applications, integrations, workflows, APIs, and document management solutions and will help ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute manual test plans for enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Develop functional and non-functional test cases aligned with QA strategy.
  • Track testing progress and overall system quality.
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, requirements reviews, and test case reviews.
  • Translate requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution.
  • Analyze and report defect root causes, severity, and trends.
  • Manage test cases, test data, and test execution.
  • Evaluate system health through component and feature-level test results.
  • Support manual and automated testing activities.
  • Collaborate with development, business, and project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience testing complex enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Strong experience creating and executing manual test plans.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar tools.
  • Experience with functional and non-functional testing.
  • Strong defect identification, tracking, and reporting experience.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience participating in Sprint Planning and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Experience with manual and automated test case management and execution.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
